Speaking with Los Angeles' Power 109 radio station this week, Justin Bieber admitted he's still in love with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and that his new single, "All That Matters," is about their romance.
"I wrote the best music once my heart was broken," Biebs told DJ Big Boy.
"‘All That Matters' was written when I was in a great place in my
relationship, and at that time, she was all that mattered in my life."
After confirming that the track as about "S.G," the 19-year-old
explained, "[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front
of so many people. It's such a public thing. It's just hard for the both
of us. But you know, she's a great woman. I love her 'til this day."
Though the former couple were spotted getting a little too friendly for exes at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this year, Bieber insisted that the two aren't back together -- nor are they planning to reconcile any time soon.
"I think we're going to be the greatest of friends. Right now we're taking a little time and not talking," he said.
In the same interview, Bieber also said that he was "retiring" for music, though sources have told Gossip Cop that the pop star was joking at the time.
