Lil Wayne, T-Pain collaborative album

     Fans looking forward to the rumored Lil Wayne and T-Pain collabo album from the famously dreaded rappers, appropriately titled T-Wayne, are sure to be disappointed, as Miami based rapper T-Pain confirmed that the joint effort has been shelved indefinitely, stating:

"When [Wayne] got into his little trouble, that was right at the peak of when we was like, 'OK, let's go. Let's do this now.' He finally had time, then he went to jail," said Pain, who recorded eight or nine songs for the project before it was scrapped. While he's still up for it, he doesn't think Weezy is interested. "Things happen and I'm pretty sure he's over the whole idea now. I don't even be bringing it up to him no more. I'm pretty sure he's way past that right now. He's doing big things." (Rap-Up)

Though Wayne has found success in doing musical collaborations before with Birdman and the "Life Father, Like Son" albums, its not the first time a collabo effort has fallen through. Drake confirmed in November that him and Wayne have decided to wait to pursue any efforts of putting out a joint album:

During an interview with XXL for the upcoming December issue, Drizzy explained that he and Lil Wayne have decided to put their proposed joint album on the back burner, maybe indefinitely, because he felt fans would compare the project to Watch The Throne rather than judge it on its own artistic merit. "Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album," Drake told XXL exclusively. "We just agreed that it would be looked upon as... It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, 'If we do it, we'll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.'" (XXL Mag)
