The teen hearthrobs spent the New Year holiday on a blingin' yacht in the Caribbean -- and appeared to be getting mighty cozy.
In pics posted on web, the teens seem to be way more than friends. That contradicts Gomez's statement to People last month, when she told the magazine, "We just like to hang out. They shouldn't be stopping us from going out to dinner and things like that."
Fans have already taken to Twitter, showing their support of the maybe/probably new couple, but some are taking things a bit too far. Gomez has been the subject of several threatening tweets
